The Meiklejohn PTA is the school’s largest fundraising entity comprised of Meiklejohn parents, staff, and community members. While many of our efforts are focused on raising funds, our mission is to make every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. We foster our Meiklejohn community and the wellbeing of our children by encouraging parent involvement through volunteering and fundraising, supporting our teachers, and collaborating with school administrators to keep the Meiklejohn community engaged and informed. The money raised by the Meiklejohn PTA is used to purchase needed classroom materials, fund expanded paraprofessional hours, and support ongoing teacher development and programs. Through volunteerism, the PTA coordinates and supports a wide array of community and school activities, such as staff appreciation events, student enrichment programs, room parent support, school safety programs, Fall Fest, Science Fair, Talent Show, Craft Fair, Garden Club, Mileage Club and more.
