We are looking for classroom families to volunteer for the 2025/26 school year! This year will be a bit different than in years past, so please take a moment to read all the information below.
As a room family volunteer, your role is to support your grade-level teachers in planning and coordinating class events and celebrations (e.g., Halloween & Valentine's Day parties), while keeping things simple, equitable, and sustainable. If you choose to sign up, you’re committing to helping make classroom celebrations fun, inclusive, and easy for families to participate in. Please review the volunteer responsibilities and expectations below before signing up to be a Room Family Volunteer.
All family members are welcome—parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles—anyone who wants to help build a fun and supportive classroom community!
To make celebrations more equitable across all classrooms and support our school’s sustainability efforts, we’re making a few updates!
Volunteers are now organized by grade level instead of by classroom. Families can work together to plan, decorate, and share supplies. Parties will still be held in individual classrooms.
We’re looking for 3 to 4 parents per grade to co-lead the grade-level volunteers (ideally, one lead volunteer per classroom). If you’d rather not lead but still want to help, please sign up as a Room Family Volunteer.
To help keep things equitable and sustainable, we’re encouraging a $200 max spend per grade level for each celebration.
Room volunteers should not organize supply drives. Teachers will reach out directly to families if supplies are needed.
