The Meiklejohn Fall Festival is an annual event open to the entire community. This year's event will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm behind the school, and include a pumpkin patch, photo booth, cake walk, face painting, obstacle courses, inflatable slides, hay ride, petting zoo, silent disco and more. This year, we are offering both a regular Wristband and a Littles Wristband designed for younger kids that don't want to participate in all the event activities. You can preorder wristbands online until Tuesday, September 29th. Preordering lets you skip the lines at the event and save $5.00 per wristband. If you join the PTA at the Pride or Mountain Lion membership level by September 29, you will receive 2 free wristbands for this year’s Fall Fest. Preordered wristbands will be sent home in Thursday folders on Oct 1st. Wristbands can also be purchased at the event. Wristbands are only required to participate in activities (typically kids only), not for entry into the festival.
Note: This year, the district is requiring that all participants sign a liability waiver, since our event includes inflatables and other activities that pose a greater risk to student safety. We are using a new service this year (Cheddar Up) for wristband sales that allows us to incorporate the waiver into the checkout process. Please ensure that you list all children that will take part in Fall Festival activities on the waiver. We highly encourage parents to preorder wristbands and complete the waiver process prior to the event. Lines to purchase wristbands at the event are likely to be even longer this year, since the additional waiver must be signed.

The Fall Festival planning committee is working hard to get everything lined up, but we need volunteers to help the day of the event to make it a success. Parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, staff, and students (middle school and above) are welcome to volunteer. Not only is it fun, but students can earn community service time for volunteering. Use the links below to sign up for various volunteer activities.
We are looking for volunteers to help set up and tear down, run the activities, and sell wristbands. Sign up for a time slot here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B49AEAF2FA1F49-65670652-2026#/
The Cake Walk is one the most popular activities at Fall Fest. Throughout the afternoon/evening, we will be giving away cakes & other dessert prizes to winning participants. In order to make this a success, we need your help! We are looking for individuals willing to make, buy, or donate various cakes and/or other yummy desserts for the event. All cakes can be delivered to the school office on Friday, October 2nd any time between 7:35am and 2:30pm. Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B49AEAF2FA1F49-65670662-2026#/
Ever wonder what it would be like to get cream’d? The kids (and adults if we're being honest) love trying to cream their teachers, parents, and older siblings at the Whipped Cream Face booth! Sign up for a 15 minute shift and prepare to get cream'd: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0B49AEAF2FA1F49-65670661-2026#/
This year’s activities include a pumpkin patch, photo booth, cake walk, face painting, obstacle courses, inflatable slides, hay ride, petting zoo, silent disco, and more.
We try to plan something for all ages. All children are invited to participate in any of the activities at the festival. There will also be a Kiddie Area intended for children in second grade and below that is separated from the main area.
You can preorder wristbands online at the Meiklejohn Store until September 29. This lets you skip the lines at the event and save $5.00 per wristband. Preordered wristbands will be sent home in Thursday folders on Oct 1st. Wristbands can be purchased at the event as well. If you join the PTA at the Pride or Mountain Lion membership level by September 29th, you will receive 2 free wristbands for this year’s Fall Fest ($60 value).
We strongly encourage families to preorder wristbands, as the lines to purchase wristbands at the event can be long.
No, you’re welcome to walk around or get food from the food trucks without a wristband. Wristbands are only required to participate in activities (typically kids only).
Everything except food purchases is included. That means your child can go through the inflatable obstacle courses and slides as many times as they want, experience a hay ride, compete at the cake walk, enjoy the petting zoo, take a fun photo at the photo booth, and get their face painted. Each wristband also lets you pick one pumpkin from the patch!
The Littles Wristband is geared towards younger attendees that do not want to do the larger inflatables or more complicated games. The Littles Wristband includes all the activities in the Kiddie Area plus face painting, balloon twisting, the petting zoo, silent disco, and a pumpkin from the patch! Littles Wristbands do not include the cake walk, photo booth, and larger inflatable slides and obstacle courses.
Any food or drinks provided by the food trucks (the vendors do charge, but most donate a portion of their proceeds back to our school), and additional pumpkin patch pumpkins. One pumpkin is included with a wristband.
Yes, there will be food trucks with dinner, drink, and dessert options. The food vendors do charge (not included with your wristband/tickets), but most donate a portion of their proceeds back to our school.
The Fall Festival is Meiklejohn’s annual community event, and is open to anyone. Invite your neighbors, friends, and extended family to join in on the fun.
No. Please keep an eye on your children during the event and choose a meeting spot in case you get separated.
